These terms govern your use of Foodstead’s website, online ordering, and related services. By using the website or placing an order, you agree to these terms. A separate Foodstead Membership Agreement, if presented when you join, governs membership and controls if its terms conflict with these website terms. Please review the membership agreement before joining.
Foodstead and membership
Foodstead connects members with products from local farms and food producers through an online shop. Ordering may require an active membership. Current membership fees, order minimums, available products, pickup options, and ordering dates are shown on the website or during checkout.
You are responsible for accurate account and contact information and for keeping your login credentials secure. Contact us if you suspect unauthorized account access. You must be at least 18 years of age, or have an adult place orders on your behalf.
Products and orders
Products, quantities, prices, descriptions, and availability can change between ordering periods. Seasonal supply and producer availability may cause an item to be unavailable or require an adjustment. We will contact you when a material change affects an accepted order and explain the available options, including a refund for an item we cannot provide.
An order submission is a request to purchase the selected items. Your order is accepted when Foodstead confirms it. We may decline or cancel an order if an item is unavailable, payment fails, or there is an obvious pricing or listing error, and will refund any payment collected for canceled items.
Some products are sold by estimated weight. Products are weighed by producers and packaged by member order. Product photos are illustrative; appearance and packaging may vary.
Payment, pickup, and delivery
Prices and any applicable taxes or service charges are shown at checkout. Payment methods and processing are described during checkout. Payment is made at the time of ordering. Memberships are auto renewing if the member chose that option when purchasing the membership.
Select an available pickup or delivery option and review the date and location in your order confirmation. Please collect perishable items at the scheduled time or contact Foodstead as soon as possible if you cannot. If items are not picked up, non-parishables can be held for the next pick up. Perishables will be held until determined unsafe, no refund will be issued.
Cancellations, returns, and refunds
Orders can be cancelled until the ordering window closes. After Saturday at 11:59pm of ordering weeks, orders can only be cancelled if approved by the producer. Contact Foodstead, Foodstead will confirm with the Producer if products can still reasonably be cancelled at the producers discretion. If items received are damaged, incorrect, or not satisfactory in any way contact Foodstead to discuss replacement or refund, depending on Producer’s availability. If there is a problem with your order, contact foodsteadnc@gmail.com or 270-839-4730 promptly so we can review it.
Food information
Producers are responsible for the descriptions and information they provide about their products. Ingredients, allergens, and handling directions can vary. Review the product label and ask Foodstead about an item before ordering if you have an allergy or dietary concern. If product information conflicts with the package label, contact us before consuming the item.
Acceptable use and site content
Use the site only for lawful purposes. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, gain unauthorized access, submit false information, or misuse another person’s account. Text, images, branding, and other site content belong to Foodstead or their respective owners and may not be reused commercially without permission.
Site availability and responsibility
We work to keep information accurate and the website available, but outages and errors can occur. We may correct errors and update the site. To the extent allowed by applicable law, Foodstead is not responsible for indirect losses arising from use of the site. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Privacy, changes, and contact
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information. We may update these terms by posting a new effective date. Changes apply to future website use and orders, not retroactively to an order already accepted unless we agree otherwise.
